Gettysburg

One thing we wanted to do while in PA was to visit Gettysburg. Grant had been there with his parents when he was a boy. I had never been there myself and we knew that Caleb would really enjoy the history. First, we saw the electric map and then walked around the museum, taking in the many pieces of our nation's history. We then took a personal tour of the different battle sites and monuments with a tour guide. He was also a little sweet on Mom. We had a good time teasing her about it on the trip home. We could have spent several days there as it was so much information to take in at one time. We ate dinner at the Dobbin's historical home. The atmosphere was set in colonial times while we dined by candlelight. We were able to view a secret room in the attic where slaves were hidden and see miscellaneous items that were found throughout the house.
