Remembering the little things

Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers....... Deuterominy. Yes, you read it right. Grace has been working on the books of the Old Testament. She has practiced and practiced. I could not bring myself to correct her as she so proudly rattled them off. Besides, she will find out soon enough the correct pronunciation. Once she started reading she discovered that Burber King was really Burger King. And I must admit I was so disappointed. Unbeknownst to her, each time she said it it made me smile. I am reminded of sweet memories of the past and the funny things that Caleb and Grace would say when they were younger. Pepperponies for pepperoni, hangaber for hamburger, just to name a few. I am so thankful for the every day, ordinary moments together with my kids. That season of life passed so quickly. I am embracing these precious moments now when we practice awana verses while preparing dinner or chat while loading the dishwasher, and the eaves dropping techniques used on the kids while driving them to and from church. You can learn so much in the car. I hope to never forget the sweet and funny things the kids have said and will say through each new season of life.
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecc. 3:1

How cute, Tami! Don't you just wish our mind would be a video recorder to record EACH AND EVERY MOMENT AND SAYING of their sweet little lives...one of my biggest fears is that I will forget it all as I get older (although cameras and blogging HELP out a lot in this area)!!!!! One of these days, I'm going to look into turning my blog into a scrapbook from a website that I found that can do this......I don't want to lose these precious memories!

LOVE YOU and hope you cherish whatever comes your way this beautiful day!
